Our Roots
Twinlab was created in 1968 when founder David Blechman leveraged his 20 years of expertise in the pharmaceutical industry to develop and market a liquid protein supplement. Working out of his family’s garage, he and his wife named their developing business Twinlab, after the couple’s two sets of twins. Sales soared, and in the 1980s, Twinlab branched out to a broader range of vitamins, minerals, herbs and teas.
Today
In late 2003, ISI Brands Inc. acquired the Twinlab brand. Our mission is to combine a complete range of dietary supplements with knowledge from foremost experts in the nutrition field to help people of all ages lead happier, healthier lives.
Our brands include some of the most recognizable and trusted in the industry: Twinlab®, Metabolife®, Nature’s Herbs®, Alvita® Teas, Cole Water, Dr. Greene™, and TeaZen™. We also provide private label and contract manufacturing expertise to some of the world’s largest retailers.
We are a proud member of the local business community in American Fork, Utah, where we have located the 170,000 square foot state-of-the-art manufacturing facility from which we manufacture, package and distribute over 1,000 premium quality capsule, tablet, powder, liquid, herbal and tea products. We also maintain corporate offices in New York, NY and Grand Rapids, MI, as well as an aquifer and water bottling facility in Peru, IN.
